Me and my groom will be in white with black accents... Flowers- cala lillies... I need ideas with center pieces, decor, wedding favors & even groomsmen gifts (all the guys are in the mid to late 20s)... Help???? |

OH FUN! And let me be one of the first to congratulate you!!!Check out the links below! I especially like the idea of 'naming a theme' for each table. Sounds like a lot of extra work, maybe but sure would leave the guests with some fun memories and I'm sure each one would love walking from table to table talking to see what all the others were themed!!!!

Hehehe - I think this is one wedding where flasks are definitely in order - if not in the budget for favours, then at least for the attendants. Think Prohibition!! (A more cost-effective overall favour might be long beads for women -- think flappers! - and...cigars for men?)I love your theme! Alas, my fiance wants something more traditional...oh well! For centerpieces, you could definintely do something with metal candelabras. Drape some (fake) pearls around the base and scatter a few rose petals...What about setting up your reception area like a speakeasy? (Goes with the zoot suites..) You could have gambling in one corner, a "cigar lounge" in another area, and (obviously) a bar! You most certainly need to have a jazz band. =)For other decorations, check out flea markets and consignment shops. Look for old cut glass bowls and use them to hold candy/flowers/ostrich feathers/whatever.

I LOVE this idea, I helped a friend plan her wedding this way, except she called it The Great Gatsby theme. There are many many great idea's out there. We (and I hate to admit this) but mirrored her wedding decorations after the Christina Augullera (sorry probably spelt that wrong) video- Ain't no other man- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW_j1EPZzEYGo to Yahoo or Google and type in Great Gatsby theme wedding and many decorations and ideas will come up. She had rhinestones, feathers, crystals everywhere and lots of candles, it really sparkled.Good luck!Oh and pearls streamed all over.

Right on...we did a vintage wedding, too, but it was centered around antique red roses. Invest in a swing band if you can, instead of a DJ, it's so worth it! There's a font called Souci Sans that is cool and art deco, if you can incorporate it into things it will look great. Look through various Art Deco books to get ideas. With the black & white theme, you may want a few splashes of color, such as red or yellow. Maybe the bouquets and the cake, and just a very few decor items in a brilliant color will set the black and white off nicely. How fun!
