I love my husband with all my heart, but sometimes he drives me absolutely crazy! At times he acts like a grade-school child who is trying to find himself. If he has an off day during the week he will call me several times a day. Sometimes he has something important to say, and other times he’s just bored and looking to chat. He calls for the simplest things – for instance, his mother is having a colonoscopy done next week. He called me at work to tell me that. It’s not that I don’t care but he could have told me that when I got home this evening, unless of course, I needed to take off work to go with them for some reason. He got a good review and a raise at work and I told him how proud and happy I was for him, but when he got home he flashed this big thick review packet in my face and wanted me to sit and read it. I congratulated him again and told him I’d read it later. It’s almost like he instantly lost his high.Sometimes he will call me when he’s off and say “Guess what I’m watching on TV” and he’s watching Sponge Bob or Fairly Odd Parents. He is actually into the cartoons like a kid. I will be talking to him and he can’t even acknowledge what I’m saying because he’s glued to the cartoons. I have told him, in a nice way, that he acts kind of childish sometimes. He got offended and said he wants to be him. I want him to be him, but this stuff is driving me nuts. I try so hard to be there for him and I try to be supportive in all ways, but he just requires so much attention.I am almost 31 and he is almost 30. He is also a spoiled only child.

Geeze. You didn't know this about him when you got married? The guy is desperate for "mommy's" approval. You can do whatever you want, but by doling out a few compliments here and there, you could probably have him completely wrapped around your finger. Whether that is something you would want is up to you.

Think of all adults as being like kindergardeners, and you will go a lot farther in life. I had a boss that told me that, and I have found it to be too true. There are no exceptions.

LoL .. my husband does the same stuff lol and does enjoy cartoons too. I hate cause my husband is an HVAC tech and he loves his job and expects me to love his job as much as he does. And like with the rewiew my husband tries to tell me how "things" work and will draw stupid little diagrams to try and show me and Im just like "wow""yeah, that makes sense." and I have NO CLUE what he is trying to tell me!!!! I don't think its abnormal at all lol most men are big babies anyway

I would take it as a good sign that he wants to include you in everything - even the smallest things. And don't you think its kind of cute that he calls you when he's bored just to talk? He's obviously thinking about you all the time. And of course he lost his high when you wouldn't read his review. He was excited and happy, and you clearly showed him you weren't as enthusiastic about it, and that was a mood killer. As for the cartoons - lots of men are kids with that sort of stuff. Not neccesarily sponge bob or the fairly odd parents - but a lot of men like childish tv shows or, cheesy movies, etc. Or their video games.

Well give him some time. Girls mature faster than boys. and a good woman understands that. Read that review and put it on the fridge. My husband a great big Police Officer likes Scooby-doo. and his review is hanging on the fridge along with a letter from his boss. But if your husband has Adult attention disorder you better take him to the Dr. ( My Babe caught me watching Beauty and the Beast and the kids were long asleep) |

hilarious, i was just complaining yesterday about not getting enough phone calls from my husband. If you don't share things together good and bad, he will end up sharing them with someone else that will listen and pretend to read his review packet, lol. Just be glad your the first person he thinks to call and talk about his momma's GI issues with. OH the love!

wow sounds like you found yourself a happy go lucky kind of guy -who cant stop thinking about you -and wants to include you in every aspect of his life as it happens - lets see -when he called you about his mom (he was probably very worried)you should have been there to comfort him to take the edge off the situation when he told you about his bonus - well he was hoping you would reward him with a celebration like a night out or a long night in bed or bothas for the cartoons well the real world sucks and who wants to watch shows about detectives finding the wifes DNA at the scene of the crime where her husband was killed when she claimed to be out of town -and when she finally confesses it was because although her husband was a nice guy she couldnt stand the fact her husband watched sponge bob dont sweat the small stuff like you are -and if you be quiet and listen maybe you would find sponge bob funny
