They are not really necessary but they will be a nice gesture to your guests if you do give them..I purchased mine at http://www.yolandasweddingfavors.combecause this place beats prices plus they give free shipping and always have deals all the time.

I think all those trinkets are just a waste, no one really knows what to do with them when they get home. Put some chocolates out or something small like that. For ours, we handed out a favor bag with a lottery ticket and some Hersheys hugs and kisses. That way, if they won, they got some money. If they lost, they just threw it away.

I combined my wedding favors and my centerpieces to save money...I did both, but not as separate items. My wedding favor was a small bud vase that I tied personalized ribbon (with our names and date) on. The ribbon was removable so they could be used again. I put 3 roses in each vase and put 5 vases on each table. That way it looked like there was a big bunch of roses as the center piece and the guests could take one (or 2) of the vases home with them. It did save a lot of money and I was still able to have flowers on the table and give out a favor. While I am sure they aren't completely necessary, I still wanted to do something...and didn't break the bank doing it. Hope that helped

Completely optional. I've never attended any wedding that had favors and no one missed them.

Don't worry about favors. No one really cares about them, and absolutely no one will remember what your favors were when thinking about your wedding years from now.Use that money to upgrade something else-like a better cake or higher level dinner. |

I personally think they're a big waste of time and money. Who wants something that has someone else's names and wedding date on it? (Ok, I would take it if it were a bottle of wine). But for the most part the favors get left behind. I've helped with many friends weddings and they all have said that half the favors were left. We did not have favors at our wedding, and no one complained.

Totally useless expense unless they serve a purpose, i.e. if you are a fun loving crowd and plan on havng alcohol at the wedding, getting shot glasses imprinted and actually doing a group shot is a useful favor. Who actually likes little net bags of jordan almonds or tea lights, or a cd

No, they are not necessary, but if you are gonna do them go down the food route rather than things like mini picture frames.

Not necessary, but I think they're nice, and surely don't have to be expensive. Some mints or candies tied up in tulle with a ribbon, your thankyou can be attached with a slip of paper; I like two further ideas I've read on Answers especially - a heart cookie cutter, or a wine bottle stopper.

individual wedding favors are a waste of money. a bowl of candy or something on each table is a better way to go. most people don't want to take a little favor away from a wedding even if it's just candy.

We gave away custom made wine-infused chocolate truffles. We found a lady who made them for $1 / each (same price as See's candies). They were a HUGE hit.

my step brother had a great idea for his wedding, he had kinder surprise eggs for the men and the children and little 2 packs of forero rocher for the ladies, (not sure of the spelling here) but i thought that it was a fantastic idea!!! and if you go to a big trade warehouse then you will get them loads cheaper!

It depends how traditional you want your wedding to be, i'm having lottery tickets for the men and thortons choccies for the ladies but if you wanted to do it on a budget you could use mini eggs or something similar, i got my wedding favour boxes from tesco - they were really cheap £2.97 for 10
