| This is sort-of an informational thing as opposed to a question. I wanted to let you folks know that I just got an e-mail from weddingchannel.com that they are putting their disposable cameras on sale thru March 30th. You may want to check it out.~ I do not work for them, am not affiliated with them, am not recommending them, just wanted to put an FYI out to my YA BTB's, please don't report me THANKS ~To make this a legit question: is this helpful info? Do you care? Would you rather I never post this sort of FYI again?If anyone has been around for a while they know I *hate* the disposable camera idea. I did it for my Aunt & Uncle's 50th Anniversary (it was my gift to them, plus all other photos and an album). After that experience, I would never do it for my wedding. BUT I know alot of folks on here are going to do it. |

| for the record, I would steer clear of this. I read in a magazine, things that seem like a good idea, but in the end just waste your money-and that was one of them. The cameras seem like a great idea, but usually there are kids around, or ppl get drunk and they just go crazy taking a million photos of God knows what. You end up spending WAY more time and money paying for them in the first place, and then getting them all developed...plus they are all in print only-not digital. Have your photgrapher take more photos of the guests, and request that ppl email their photos in. In this day and age, everyone takes their own, high quality cameras to the wedding anyway, and sharing is made easy by digital. I'd rethink it, but it's up to you. |

| Nah, the pictures from disposables stink and you have to pay twice - once for the cameras, again for the developing. |

| I've heard that there are many wasted shots and can be expensive to develope.Taking a chance/put may be worth a few good shots! |

| The last few weddings I have been to have had the cameras on the table and when I think of the photos we took (just of the people at the table rather than the whole wedding) it really would not be worth having them.So no I won't be having them, but if there are any 'deals' on things like favours of dress sales or anything like that I would be happy to hear about it. (p.s. They would have to be deals in Australia as thats where I live) |

| I work for a banquet hall, and I can safely say that 90% or more of the couples DO NOT do this. I live in the Chicago area, and trends differ by region, so it could be more popular in different areas of the country.It's a great idea, but what happens most of the time is that someone thinks you put them there in case they forgot their camera (which they did), takes it home and you never see it again. Or, you got photo after photo of rude drunk people doing stupid things that you had no idea happened at your reception, and you wish you still didn't know.There was someone here yesterday or the day before asking what the best/worst favor they got was. One person posted that every person got a camera, a coupon for double prints, and a postage paid envelope to send the second set back to the bride and groom. I thought this was ingenius--the person is going to only take pictures they will want also (so no goofy rude pictures), and the couple gets a set, too. However, I'm sure these favors cost them a good $10 per person.If you do buy disposible cameras, I don't recommend the ones that are made for weddings. The film is really cheap, so the quality of the pictures is really bad. Buy a regular Kodak or Fuji brand if you want decent pictures. |

| No. I have never been a fan of disposable cameras although I have used them in a pinch on vacations (and they never turn out). Most of our family and friends are into photography as a hobby so they have good regular cameras. Plus, we're hiring a professional team of photojournalists which should cover most shots. |

| Don't bother, it is a waste of money. Usually the kids grab them first and waste the shots and then you have to pay to develop them. |

| I thought about it but ended up not doing it. I heard too many stories of really bad photos, and some rude/crude ones, too. Hard to believe people do that, but it just seemed like it would be a waste of money. |
