why would you want to take a piece of cake and ram it in the face of the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. Oh, and you want to do it at a party that is the most expensive thing done in your honor that you will ever experience and ruin the hair and clothing of your soul mate. Does this seem stupid to anyone other than me?

I dont like it. I think it is rude actually. We have agreed not to do that with no problem. I think it's kinda cheezy and immature myselfIt's a symbolic jesture, not a joke

it does seem kinda stupid, I'd love to feed the cake to my future husband (neatly, on a plate - with a fork!! What a concept!)

My fiance and I have been discussing that very situation. We both agree that the cost of the cake and the amount of money spent of make-up etc is not worth smushing cake for. It wont be happening at our wedding.

It is stupid.I don't see it done at weddings much anymore. At least, the ones I have been to. Nowadays, they just sort of playfully finger feed each other the cake. Like, they get it on their fingers, but no full on cake smashing in the face. I've never seen it get on the dress. But it is stupid. It would ruin the pictures for the rest of the night.

My fiance actually brought up the fact that he HATED the idea of cake being shoved down the others throat for fun before I did. I had always thought that was awful but hadn't even thought about mentioning it for our wedding. I was surprised he felt that way considering he is about the biggest prankster I've ever met in my life. We both think it's rude and mean. It doesn't help that we both aren't big fans of cake in the first place! We agreed that we would feed a small piece to each other nicely and neatly. He actually said that "there is something romantic about feeding your spouse." which I found really sweet. |

Absolutely no class! It is ridiculous. When did a wedding become a stage for how to humiliate your spouse? Most people who do this have a tacky wedding as well.
