Tell him you can rent the dress. If he is worried about the cost. A lot of people come to town and do just what your doing its OK. Most of the chapels have dresses and tuxes that you can use for the photos. I see a lot of girls with a really great cocktail dress running around with a Vail attached just so that they have the feeling of the formal dress.All in all its your wedding too if you want the dress get the dress

point out to him that brides and grooms usually get special treatment and that you should allow yourselves this one chance to see what it is like to be treated that way.. consider a compromise.. an understated but clearly bridal gown for you (no train, no veil) and either a tux or new nice suit for him..

you can wear a white bikini or a cathedral length gown - really, it's Vegas, anything goes.

You can rent tux's and wedding dresses that are beautiful in Las vegas for a couple hundred dollars.
