I have to shoot bridal portraits for a bride next week. She doesn't want them in my studio nor is she willing to shoot outdoors (where we usually go, Mercer Arboretum). I'm okay with her not wanting in the studio but that usually means outdoors; which she has refused. HELP!I need ideas in the Houston area where I can shoot bridal portraits indoors. I just don't want to have to jump through a bunch of hoops and/or cut through miles of red tape to get permission to enter some place and photography. Any ideas? She lives in West Houston, my studio is in East Houston and she is being married in Galveston. I'm thinking anywhere in between will make us happy if we can just find a beautiful, elegant INDOOR location. HELP!Hi Teri! I have had several people suggest the Museum of Natural Science. That is where the butterfly exhibit is. I'm just wondering what we'll have to go through to be allowed to set up strobes and all the hoohaa involved!Hi Graph! I'm going to make the calls today about the museums. We go downtown Houston all the time but OUTDOORS. There are lovely parks on the bayou with the skyline in the background. I'll be making those calls today (and I'm so swamped with Christmas pics right now that I really don't have the time to do them but brides are my bread and butter!

Wow, she's picky, huh? What does that leave? Restaurants and stores? Maybe a mall or museum. How about Johnson Space Center? LOL When I visited my sister a year and a half ago, there was a really nice butterfly house by a museum. Is it still there? That would be beautiful!I found it in one of my pictures. It's called Cockrell Butterfly Center.

Like terisu said, look for palces in doors. Around my neck of the woods there are public conservatories, libraries, museums and the like that could be used.Talk with the client and see what she is interested in. If she is an art lover, call up a local art gallery or museum and see if they will allow for a shoot there.
