| i have a wedding to go to next sat night, i have a gorgeous white review dress, strapless, just above the knee. It is elegant but just concerned about the colour. It is a cocktail party wedding the dress code is semi formal. Can you wear white to a wedding or is it just a no no????!!!!! thanks |

| ugh. people, you NEED to get past the ''no no no!!! you can't wear WHITE to a WEDDINNGGGG.'' its insanity. of COURSE you can wear white to a wedding. white is a color of joy and purity, and it will be celebratoiry [[sp. ik sorry.]] of the big event that will be taking place!! personally, i would opt for a color bolder than white, perhaps a dark royal purple [[purple is IN this season]] or maybe a deep pretty sapphire blue. gorgeouss!!!! since its a wedding cocktail party and who cares if its white, it sounds cute, WEAR IT. =] XOXO<33 |

| sorry but its a no no! its not good etiquette because it takes away from the bride.she should be the only one wearing all white that day. |

| is it a wedding or a cocktail party???? i guess you could wear it but only if it doesn't look like a wedding dress. that might be pretty embarassing for the bride to be... |

yes you can, just wear a color pumps like maybe red, blue, purple pumps and wear some color accessories, mabe gold accessories on top of the dress like nice formal looking beads or necklaces and some cute earrings, just dont go plaing white you knowww  or maybe a color belt around the dress:) |

| tis true it is traditionally a no, no. However, white is a celebratory color and I think you should be allowed to wear it if you want. The point of not wearing white is to not outshine the bride. So, as long as you know you won't outshine the bride, go for it! Hey, if the bride is your freind or you know she is the type of person who wouldn't really care, definitally got for it. I would also wear like a black 3/4 arm length mini jacket ( you know, the kind that cut off at your ribs) and some black heels, and a big fat black belt, but if the belt doesn't fit, (because some dreses don't go with those!) just go with the jacket and black heels. The point is to be able to wear you dress and look great, but dress it down with other colors so as not to outshine the bride by showing up in all white. Black is just such a nice color and it goes with everything, that's why I suggested it. Also, it's winter girl, you might not want to wear white anyway! Deep red, or purple or something like that would work. Have fun |
