My fiance and I (just got engaged after 5 years! so ecstatic ) were talking about having a destination wedding when we get married. To us it is so romatnic and perfect (not too mention so much less planning.. I work full time as a special ed teacher, bartend, an i am in grad school.. no time ot plan!). Getitn gmarried on the beach has always been my dream. do u guys have any suggestions where to start? i mean we're thining 2 years from now (Fed - april of 2010). It would probably be around 20 people. are there any great sites or anything? I just started looking and it is so overhwhelming! Any help would be much appriciated! Thank you so much! :)We are both very east going and not "fancy" (kinda y we want this). we want a sorta small. intimate ceremony)... something less than 7000. thank you!ooo.. also i am 24 now and he will be 24 in july if that makes a difference.. we r still kinda in college mode so maybe something inclusive? we will be paying for it oursleves as my parents both passed away and we don't want to ask our families for too much. thanks! |

| What about Beaches Resort or Sandals Resort? They will coordinate everything for you. |

| Congrats on getting engaged! I just got engaged in Jamaica last month, my boyfriend of 7 years proposed on the beach on our first night there =)Anyway, we stayed at the Rose Hall Resort and Country Club in Montego Bay (google it and check out their website), it was AMAZING. They have a water park right on the premises, and if you get the all inclusive rate, everything is included (food, water sports, alcoholic drinks as much as you want, shows and concerts at night, etc.) We went for 5 nights for $2,200, including flight from NYC. AND we got a $150 back after we checked out, just for staying over 3 nights. And that's all inclusive, so you don't have to pay for anything!I definitely recommend it...Sandals is a little overrated, I think, and everyone gets married there. This way, you can be a bit more original.Good luck and congrats again! |

| Consider having a cruise wedding. You can get married on an island like Bermuda when the ship stops there. I did it last year. Check out the website cruisecritic.com, go to the boards section for honeymoon and weddings. Do A LOT of research before you commit to anything. The options are endless. The price is very reasonable as well... |
