I am having a surprise 25th wedding anniversary for my mom and dad... I'm guessing about 50-100 people. We are having free beer and food... should I also give out small party favors?

well its not nessessary but its a nice touch some times. It all depends if you have the extra money to just throw around.

You don't have to. However; some little mints or decorated bubble-bottle might be fun. Put it on the the tables for those to that want to enjoy or entertain themselves. Low cost, high reward.

go to your local party store they always have tons of stuff for 25th weddng aniversary decorations.. save your money and go without favors or you can get those little candies they sell that says thanks for celebating with us put it in some tule.. cheap and sweet

You don't have to give out favors, the people don't necessarily expect it at an anniversary party.

party favors are not necessary (even for weddings), but a very nice gesture whenever you do have a party. depending on your taste and your budget, you can give your guests a nice token of remembrance from the party...also its generally used as a sign of respect, to show your guests that you are honored/grateful that they attended the cherished event that you were hosting.if you need some suggestions of where u can purchase inexpensive party favors let me know.good luck Smile

No don't waste your money. I just went to a 25th and there were no party favors but plenty of free beer, wine and food. They held it at Dave and busters in a private room with a DJ, slide show and free beer and wine for the first 3 hours, plus a nice buffet. Party favors are for kids parties.

No, most people will toss them anyway. A party is good enough with free food and beverages. People will not be expecting a partying gift anyway, so don't waste the money.

it is a nice touch to give out a wedding favor. Are you have place cards? if you are you could buy nice cheap place card holders and have those double as the party favor

yes, you should. because giving favors is a way of expressing gratitude. you don't have to give each and everyone in the party, definitely your guests will come as couple or family. each couple could have one favor or each family will receive a favor. favors need not be expensive also. allocate a budget and stick to it in looking for favors. try www.whimsandlikes.com. good luck!
