I set off a traffic light photo camera after a late yellow...was for the most part through the enter section when the light turned red and the flash went off...am I guaranteed a redlight ticket or does it go under review? Anyone have experience with this?

Ran a yellow, mostly red light on a Harley and didn't get a ticket.....yet, it's been a couple of months, so, no, maybe not.

Usually - the company that runs the system reviews the still photo's and then send them to the jurisdiction that is responsible for the placement of the cameras. Then the photo's are reviewed and it is determined if a citation is issued - but you have to enter the intersection when the light is red for any type of camera enforcement i am familiar with.

No, just spray a coat of WD-40 on your license plate once a month and the camera can't get you..lol It will just take a picture of a nice little BLURRY Tag #.

Very often. The photo shows the car, license and the light being red. Sometimes the ticket isn't on the driver, it's on the car, same as a parking ticket. Sometimes the photo must show the driver. A live person must review the photo and issue the ticket. Therefore mistakes will happenIf you get a ticket in the mail, you can contest it. In my state (so you should check your state laws) the traffic ticket's fine print tell you about requesting "full disclosure" That's data about the radar unit, it's history etc. You use registered mail to make the request before a deadline. The police then have so many days to respond. My neighbor did this and the reply was several days late. He went to court and argued that the delay meant he didn't have time to prepare a defense. Case was dismissed.See the sites below to explore the issue:
