| Yes, it's rather ill-bred. However, since your fiance or husband bought the ring for you, just say you don't know how much it cost. Even if you DO know and don't want to lie, you can say, "Oh, that's between ____and the jeweler." |

| yes very nosey instead of telling them NYOB it would probably be more fun just lying to them either way like way more like from 1000 to 25000 or 1000 to 25 bucks |

| I think it is rude as well. You should just be happy for someone rather than asking how much it was. Whenever people would ask, I would just respond like, oh you know... |

| Yes, it's rude.What does it matter?What business is it of yours.Heck, what makes you think the recipient even knows?Maybe they care more about having someone love them, than the cost of the ring.Keep your curiosity to yourself. Then I won't ask you a bunch of rude questions, either. |

| It is rude. At my wedding, a guest asked how much our honeymoon was going to cost! I don't even get curious about other people's costs or finances - I handle myself and as long as other people don't ask me for money, I don't care what they make or what they spend. |
