I think the teapots would be cool. It's something different AND it's topical (since I read about you and your fiancee) I think if you put maybe some flowers in them or something pretty in them would be nice! =]

I think it could be a unique and fun centerpiece. It will depend a lot on the style of wedding you are having and whether or not you can find pots that will compliment the colors and style. If teapots are too expensive, tea cups can be adorable too. Check a floral supply house, I've sent some lovely flower arrangements to my m-i-l that were in teapots. Let the guests take them home if they'd like, as long as you get the center table one for your memories.

Is it weird? No. Will everyone appreciate it, no. I have the feeling that most women will think its cute while the men wouldnt really care less. Maybe do it for your bridal shower instead?

I LOVE high tea, teapots, teacups, and that whole scene so I think the idea is fabulous! (might have to steal it myself) not weird at all!I think you should put flowers in them, but nothing over the top, something that lookes like a garden picked posie would be nice and keeping with the theme. The guests should take them unless you want 12 or more tea pots around the house. They don't have to match, but it might be easier to get a cheaper price if you buy new ones in bulk somewhere. As for buying them cheap...Here is one for $12 that comes in 4 colours http://shopstashtea.com/800344.html (For the other colours look here: http://shopstashtea.com/teapots-teapots.html )These are my favourites under $30http://shopstashtea.com/800720.htmlhttp://shopstashtea.com/800768.htmlhttp://shopstashtea.com/800314.htmlAlso try ebay for second hand ones and discount stores are teapots are 'in' at the moment.

I would put flowers in them - Maybe you could do a Mad Hatter them or something to go with that. I've seen a lot weirder stuff, so no it's not so strange at all - might go nice with a garden look too.

We are all different and if everyone just LOVED your ideas all the time, I would doubt their sincerity. I don’t find teapots intriguing, but that is ME. I think it’s lovely though that you like them. It seems innocent, sweet, girlie. You know, like when [some] little girls would play tea party? So anyway, if you’re trying to feel out what other people will think, it may keep you from doing what is something authentic to you. I think being true is better than being applauded. You seem to be having the opinions of others in mind over your own, otherwise you would just use the teapots without any second-guessing because you have "always been a girlie girl who loves teacups and tea pots". They are obviously your “cup of tea”, but you seem self-conscious about it. It is yours and your fiancés wedding, so I would suggest representing your personalities and not concern yourself too much with what other people will think is odd. After all, your personality is just as important as anyone else’s and you should celebrate it!! Best wishes!!!

I think teapots and teacups would be a cute idea. Especially since these are collectibles. I believe flowers in the pots would be nice. Candles in the cups is a good idea. I don't know why teapots and teacups couldn't be associated with a wedding, when once married, they could be very likely be associated to a marriage.

i like the tea pot idea, i think they should all be different and that you should put some flowers in them and maybe have a tea bag tag hanging out with your names on them..if you can find tea cups cheap maybe you could use them as your favors. at the very least use some sort of nice tea and maybe some scones as favors. you could kind of make your whole theme english tea party, it could be cute and fun.check out flea markets and antique stores for teapots, keep an eye out for reduced racks. they make teapots in all kinds of shapes and colors so you can find just about anything you want.
