| i do why waste all that money i went to a wedding one time where instead of them hiring a photoghapher thery bought a bunch of dispoasable cameras set them on the table on told the guest to take pictures though out the wedding it was real pretty and they got some real nice pics to |

| No, like any other industry the photographers are in a state of flux; some start, some quit and styles evolve. There are times of the year when a wedding photographer is hard to find because it's so busy.As for the disposable cameras, I have heard nothing but disappointment from brides about the quality of the pictures and the subjects taken. They all say that the processing was a huge waste of money.Your great-grandchildren will have little interest in a cake topper, but they will enjoy your wedding pictures. |

| what do you mean by too saturated?about the person giving the idea of disposable cameras, that is a good idea but ONLY to have on top of a pro photographer. imagine only having crummy snapshots for your wedding.. some too bright, others too dark.. yuck.wedding photography is ALOT of hardworkpeople don't realise the stress and amount of work these guys do..both on the day and after it at home in the studio.imagine having to be on your feet working from 8am up until 12am and having to be constantly alert during these hourse so that you don't miss a thing annnd having to maintain your creativity for that long.good wedding photographers earn and deserve all that they get |

| No, I don't believe so. With the advent of digital, a lot of people think they are photographers, but they are not. Just because you can buy a sub $1000 digital SLR does not maek you a pro.It's knowledge of the craft and the ability to apply the knowledge and peoduce results that make a pro.I will say that the market might be saturated with more snapshooters, but not photographers. |

| No! I think the industry has gotten a bit "extravagant" though, in that many weddings have become way over the top. I've all but quit doing weddings, because I just don't like the high stress levels that have become such a part of putting together the huge production that so many brides are looking for now. But we still need talented, professional photographers out there -- definitely!!!I can't tell you how many brides have changed their minds about hiring me, because a good friend of theirs offered to take the photos for free with their new bells-and-whistles camera. All I can do in the end is smile graciously and say, "Best wishes!" Inevitably, I end up telling them later how sorry I am for them, when they report back to me, "I wish I would have hired you. They missed all the good shots and took crummy pictures! Now we have nothing!"And then there's all the lamenting brides who developed all those throw-away cameras left on everyone's tables, only to find that the only ones who used them were the children who grabbed them and ran around taking pictures of their cousins' shoes and the neighbor's cat!Once the party's over folks, it's too late to go back and recapture those special moments on film! I try to impress this on people, but you can only say so much without coming off like you're desparate to get their business. It's just not my thing to beg anyway! |
