| I could see it being ok if the person is very intellectelly mature. But still, I couldn't see the age being under 16 and that is with a husband that is pretty close in age. I could see a 16 year old and a 19 year old but 16 and 35 seems a bit of a stretch because most guys that age know how to manipulate and under age girl of that age. I would never consider looking at anyone under 25, but I am married. If I wasn't, I would still want someone that was close to the same age as me. It is the same when someone gets into their thirties. I have watched friends pick up women in the 18-22 year old range with witty lines and such. No offense for people in that age range but most of the older adults have played all the games and know which ones work and which ones don't. |

| Age of consent is dictated by culture and social norms. Therefore, it will always depend on how a society upbrings their kids. Some societies treat their children as adult earlier than others, so they become adults. For example, in the Roman empire, there was no concept of child at all. Every child should have to dress like an adult and start observing wars in order to be well prepared for their responsibilities. It is true that children has physical limitations but it is also true that they way they are raised says a lot too. Society determs when a child is mature enough to establish a house. Since we have extremily deversified social values, one's value cannt be universal to all. |
