| Yes, but you wear it on your right hand "ring finger". Your wedding band is suppose to be closest to your heart. So after the ceremony and you have your wedding band on your left hand you take the engagement ring you wore on your right hand and put it back on your left.Hope this helps:) |

| I have heard of lots of different things being done. Some brides wear it on their right hand, some let the maid of honour carry it. I have also heard of the groom or the brides mother carrying it. Some even leave it at home. I really think it's your choice. I myself wore it on my other hand. |

| You take it off or put it on your right hand. If you decide to take it off, I would have someone hold it in a safe place. I'd pick my mother and have her put it in her purse. As soon as the ceremony was over, I'd ask her for it and put it back on. |

| Actually, most people do. But never on your left ring finger. you would switch it to the right hand and after the ceremony switch it back. (wedding band is always first on the finger).I've also seen people ask their MOH to hold on to it until after the ceremony. There are also those who solder the rings together before the ceremony so when the groom puts the wedding band on he is actually putting both the engagement and wedding bands on.So you have a few options. But the majority of people just switch it to their right hand. Which is what I am doing. |

| At my wedding my husband put my engagement ring on my finger with my wedding band. Everyone does it different! |

| Yes, you wear it during the wedding and you put it on your right hand and then on your left hand after the wedding ring gets put on your left hand and you put the engagement ring on top of it. |

| It depends on what you're comfortable with.My best friend just got married and wore her engagement ring on its normal finger, because it didn't fit on the other hand. After the ceremony, she just switched her engagement ring and wedding band so they would be in the right order.Another friend got married last year and wore the engagement ring on her right hand. After the ceremony, she switched it over to the left.I've heard other people suggest leaving it in a safe place at home, but you may want to have it for your pictures. Others say to give it to someone you trust during the ceremony, but I wouldn't want to give anyone that responsibility. Accidents happen and I wouldn't want anyone to have to deal with that. If you don't want to wear it or leave it at home, you might wear it on a chain around your neck, like a necklace, and then put the ring back on after the ceremony. |

| most women move it to their right hand during the ceremony and then move it back to the left hand after the wedding ring has gone on. |

| no. I was told to come to the wedding with a "naked" finger. lol. but I got my engagement ring and wedding band soldered together, so when we exchange rings, I will be wearing both. The best man will have both mine and my hubby-to-be's rings since he will have pockets and I do not trust my 3 1/2 year old ring bearer to actually have them.If you wanted to put it one before the reception and you are not having your rings soldered together you could just put you engagement ring in a small purse and out it on after the ceremony. I found a small satin purse that matches my wedding dress to take to the reception so that I have anything that I might need. |

| I guess this really isn't an answer, but more a comment. Im getting married in a few weeks myself and I never thought of that so IM glad you asked this question. Except my engagement ring is a solitare and my wedding ring is a wrap. SO I was planning on wearing my engagement ring. Sorry I didnt mean to be all ME ME ME. Im curious to know what you decide to do |

| yes you do wear it. you move it to your right hand before the ceremony, then after the ceremony you move it back to your left hand on top of your wedding band. |

| You can wear it on your right hand ring finger, or in the case of Italian weddings(when it's considered bad luck to wear any other rings during the wedding) tuck, pin, or sew it into the bodice of your wedding gown and put it on on top of your wedding band for the reception. You can also give it to your maid of honor or mother to hold until after the ceremony. |

| I was feeling confused about this also but after talking to a few people, I have decided that I will wear my engagement ring on my right hand (because the wedding band is supposed to go on a naked finger) and switch them over on the sly before I sign the certificate. I want to be wearing it for photography. Some brides choose not to wear it at all or some put it back on at the reception. |
