Go use wedding sites like the knot.com, it can help you get ideas and checklists for what you need to get done. Wedding planning is NOT that terrible as long as you take a good attitude about it

centerpieces can be tin pails filled with rocks and covered with sand- put large seashells in them and you can use the led flicker fake candles if you want the look of candlesif the tables will be outside and you are afraid the wind will blow them outfor invitations... email me .... i can give you the email addy for the lady doing mine. she is great with themed invites and can give you a great deal. she's doing mine in a gerbera daisy theme. for favors... you can get organza bags (try ebay seller id ideabus) in beachy colors (blue, tan, white) and fill them with easter colored candies (the blues pinks greens and lighter but bright colors work great for weddings)food... bbq, pig roast, picnic style would work. are you planning a more casual menu?bbq chicken, or marinated so not so messy...baked/bbqd fish. serve a few iced teas and lemonades, punches and juices. try green tea iced tea and lemon flavored, sun brewed/home style. alcohol is optional.for cake- shop at grocery store bakeries- they can be tasty as well as costing sooo much less that standard bakeries. i can give lots more ideas if you wanna email me...

www.pinsi.com.sgThey offering very nice food, they have nice decoration on their buffet itself. Call them for further information! I have my morning ceremony buffet lunch from them. They are great! =)I think beach attire is not a very good idea, because wedding is a formal event in your lifetime. Should plan something else as beach attire party should be fun and crazy~ Maybe like, all ladies=one colour dress or top, guys=same colour tie or?... your say! Congrats

Go to barefootweddings.net. Check out their photos.I am not posting a link . . . as I got a violation notice last time I did so. I don't know what was wrong about posting their link. I have written to ask, but have gotten no response as yet. So go there at your own risk. But they have photos of beach weddings . . . and one can get some good ideas there.Tropicalbeachweddings.com has this menu posted on their catering site:Large Peel-N-Eat Shrimp with Homemade Cocktail SauceAlaskan Snow Crab Leg Clusters with Drawn ButterHot Fresh Blue Crab Dip with Bread PointsHomemade Chicken Salad with RollsFresh Fruit TrayVegetable PlatterOur Bread Bowl Spinach DipPepperoni and Mixed Cheese PlatterAntipasto PlatterWater and Sweet TeaFor a reception at home, one could serve finger sandwiches, potato salad or pasta salad, vegetable platter with dip, fruit platter with dip, cheese and crackers, and assorted beverages . . . with wedding cake for dessert. For invitations, I like invitationsbydawn.com. I have used them before. They provided good quality invitations and prompt service. If on a budget, skip favors. They are not necessary, and usually no one remembers them anyway!Flowers? Check out thebridesbouquet.comor DIYhttp://www.save-on-crafts.com/gifandpac.html(I haven't gotten in trouble for posting this link . . . not yet, anyway.)Good luck to you. A May beach wedding sounds lovely.Edit: Beautiful, the Alfred Angelo wedding gown posted by bbbarra. Lovely and appropriate. For officiants, check out your local message board at theknot.com. I am sure the brides there will have some suggestions for you.

I would do a beach theme wedding. You should probably rent a large white tent and tables/ chairs to put in it. You should then get some table clothes in whatever color you choose. I went to a beach theme wedding and the ushers gave everyone leis before they walked them to their seats!! The guests were in beach attire so it was really cute. Once we got into the tent, it was just like your normal wedding. There was a head table and all the wedding party drank out of these cute hawaiian glasses with curly straws! Then we just had a normal dinner and speeches/ cake/ dancing, etc. They bought little kids sand buckets, filled them with sand, put some shells on top and a little kids sand shovel. That was their centerpiece... it was cool and I'm sure much cheaper than buying flowers... everyone does flowers. Sprinkled around the bucket were little sea shell shaped chocolates for the guests to munch on. They also found all the shells themselves, so I'm sure that made it more special and less expensive! Good luck!

Um, shouldn't you be getting suggestions with your fiance?I'd ask him first before asking complete strangers.Start looking in the yellow pages and the knot website.
