When traveling, your best bet is to use a credit card but here is a link for the exchange rates:http://www.fms.treas.gov/intn.html

1.00 USD =70.9300 JMDI don't think you have to worry because the US dollar is accepted like everywhere in Jamaica. I never had any problems with US dollars because its accepted everywhere. They use USD most of the time.Jamaica is so awesome, but they'll be hounding you everywhere. I once had a taxi driver follow me for two miles asking if I was tired from walking so he could get me into his taxi. He was walking, too. LOL! Make sure if you bring cash, to carry it securely.I'd bring travelers checks and some cash, or use a debit card for some purchases.

Don't worry about it in the islands they are always ready to take the dollar. Protect yourself and your new wife, and don't trust anyone. Be careful when you leave your resort, I assume that you are staying at one. My husband and I were coming threw the maze of shopping at the end of the Dunn Falls and it is narrow, they separated me from my husband grabbing and pulling to get me to buy, putting a necklace on me. When we looked back, my backpack was opened, so be abrupt. They are the worst most aggressive there I have ever seen anywhere, but the Resort will not let them in. We are very well traveled, so that says a lot, my travel agent told me she would not even get off the ship. Just be Firm, if you leave your money and valuables in the safe, just carry cash you need for the day. That is a matter of what you want to spend, we go say 100.00PP a day. Good Luck and best wishes
