So, I'm confused about the whole engagement process.Obviously, the woman gets an engagement ring when she's proposed to. But, then what finger does she wear it on? (Ring, duh. But what hand?) And then men don't wear one, right? And when she gets the wedding ring, she wears it on what finger? And what happens to the engagement ring?

Women wear an engagement ring on their left hand. The wedding ring will go behind it after you get married. Men do not wear engagement rings and their wedding ring also goes on the left hand.

The engagement ring goes on her left hand on the finger next to the pinky. And no the man doesnt wear an engagement ring. And when you get married you put the wedding ring on the same finger the engagement ring is on. She wears both rings on the same finger.

the engagement ring goes on her left hand, just like the wedding ring. They are worn together on the same finger after the wedding, so u might want to look into getting a matching set, just save the wedding band for the ceremony, and guys can wear engagement rings if they choose, it's just not very common.

Men certainly do wear wedding bands. It implies nothing about their level of manliness. In fact, it's a nice symbol of commitment to their spouse.I think the engagement/wedding ring thing has been explained adequately.

It depends on how traditional you want to be. Tradition dictates that you wear the engagement ring on your left ring finger, and then you wear your wedding band either above it or below it depending on the fit of the band. I personally went for a non-traditional engagement ring, and since getting married, I wear it on my right hand.

The woman wears it on her left hand on her second finger from the pinkie. The man wears a ring too, same hand, same finger. That engagement ring is the done deal, you marry with it in the real wedding.(whatever you do don't take it off! My husband did this right before our wedding and he lost it $200.00 lost forever, I hope the sad hobo that found is happy.)

Rings are worn on the left hands for men and women. As far as engagement rings vs. wedding ring - the wedding ring is put on first (closest to the heart), and the engagement ring goes on top. You don't necessarily need to have the matching set, but you probably want to choose rings that will fit together well and look nice together. Some people who swell up a lot (due to whatever reason) will sometimes where their wedding and engagement rings on a chain around their neck - again, close to the heart.Hope this helps.
