Question : What does a motorsport photographer know about wedding photography?
Answer : At this point very little. Which is where you can help!
So, I am no newbie to photography and I shoot with a 1D2N and 1D3 combo, you can see the gear in my profile. A friend has asked, practically begged me, to shoot her wedding, I have done alot of studio work for her friend and she loved the shots. I am quite proud she asked me but obviously don't want to fumble it.
I have no issue with the staged shots where I can use flash and ambient light to light the subjects. Fill flash isn't a problem either.
Will I be allowed, is it usual to shoot during the ceremony? If so, what is the best vantage point? If this is possible, I can imagine I won't be allowed to use flash, too distracting so it will be ambient (ie very little light in the church) light only so is it a case a just cranking up the ISO? Which metering mode would be best for inside the church? |
