If you are using flowers for your wedding cake, do these flowers have to be ordered from your florists you are using for your wedding or do the baker have them there for price included in the total amount of your cake?Thank you!

Usually either will do the flowers, that being said it's usually much cheaper to go through your florist and as mentioned that way you can be sure they will match your colors! : )My cake has fresh flowers and the baker quoted a much higher price...probably because they prefer to have your florist do it. If your florist does the flowers the bakery doesn't have to send someone to decorate the cake to your wedding...just deliver it

My florist provided ours. That was the way the baker preferred it. I'm sure it varies from baker to baker.

I got mine from the florist. They can deliver them to the bakery or you may have to get a bridesmaid or groomsman to run them over there

It would be best to get them from the florist, so they are uniform with the rest of the decor. Unless you want gum paste flowers, or something edible like that, your baker won't have much to do with the floral accessories.hope this helps. good luck!

Usually it would be the baker that provides them. Although you could have the coordinate to make sure the colors are the same.

Usually, it's the florist who provides the flowers for cakes. However, when you order them, make sure they know it's for the cake. If possible, get organic flowers. If not, ask how the flowers are grown. You don't want any nasty chemicals on the cake that you're going to be serving.Good luck, and Congratulations

I had flowers ordered from the florist. I had lilies on my cake and the woman who did my cake put them on when she got here. Normally what you do is get them from the florist so they match the flowers in your bouquet or arrangements. Depending on the flowers they may need to be prepared, but my flowers were basicly just put on the cake as is. You can also order flowers made from sugar that are painted by your baker or from a company the baker uses. These are generally more expensive, but usually look just as nice. So it's really your call.

For anything but the most common, popular flowers I suggest going through the florist. Ask your baker:"If I want to use fresh flowers on my cake, will you coordinate with my florist, or will I have to manage getting the flowers to you?"My baker is coordinating with the florist, thank goodness.

either your florist or baker can do it. to be sure everything matches and is of the same quality, your best bet is to have your florist do it. your baker will probably prefer it that way, too-- it's less work for them and your florist can get a better price anyway.

My florist included it and said he would decorate the cake himself. When I went to the bakery to order it, I asked what she normally does and she said that sometimes she does it and sometimes she contracts a florist to do it for her. Her prices were really high, so I just went with my florist. Plus, I liked him better ha ha!

When I discussed my cake with Rose (our baker) she asked that we have the flowers brought to her. However, we decided no flowers, sugared grapes instead.
