Im getting married in Jamaica in April. Less than 3 months away. My period is due the same time we are getting married. I have really, really painfull awful periods and I don't want to go through that while we are in paradise. I started taking the birth control pill Lybrel about a month ago, which makes your period go away all together. But... I am moody all the time and I have cramps all the time and I have absolutely NO sex drive. I hate this pill and want to stop taking it, but feel that I need it so I won't menstruate in Jamaica. I considered the depo shot, but I want to get pregnant around June and don't want to risk that...I have read some similar questions and some have mentioned a pill the doctor gives you that will temporarily stop your period. Can anyone tell me what this is called? And maybe how it works?I hate Lybrel and really want to quit it, but don't want to risk a period on my wedding/honeymoon....Thanks in advance for your help.

You can just try switching to a different type of pill. Two months is long enough to get on track.Have fun in Jamaica!

Any pill that stops your period is hormonal, and is the same as the pill.Try a different brand of B.C, or a lower dose.
