Since I have no theme...its hard to pick out invitations....and things like that. Please help me come up with some kind of a theme. The only theme that I can come up with is a traditional southern style wedding. As our wedding is going to be held at an 1800's school house that has been turned into a beautiful museum in SC. My food is going to be southern so that is kind of what my theme is. So i guess I am asking how to incorporate southern style into ALL areas of my big day...such as invitations....favors, etc. Please help me!! I am way stressed.

I think a "Southern theme" is as good a theme as any. It sounds very nice. I think you should go with a sort of ourdoorsy grass and flowers feel to it. Invitations...I would go with brown and green. Favors, depending on your budget...I would go with an adorable recipe card with the ingredients for a recipe that you both love (i.e. cookies or bread are the simplest) and a little saying from you and your hubby, along with a mason jar with the necessities to make the treat. Another idea is to make a cd with some southern music and music that the two of you like for everyone.

My friend had a southern "cowboy" wedding. There are tons of invites you could do. You could do victorian style invitations or the Gone With The Wind style.I included "Where the Brides Go" site because it's fabulous for ideas, favors, ect they have a Western/Country theme area to give you ideas but check out the whole site!! Sorry I couldn't be more help!

Where and How to Start?
There’s so much to do, it can be mind-numbing. Don’t worry. I planned and held my first wedding in two months and my second wedding in three months. If you have the luxury of a year or more, feel lucky!
Wedding Invitation
Ideally, invitations should be mailed out 6-8 weeks before the big day to give guests time to make arrangements to attend and RSVP back to you.
Wedding Attire
Where I come from, buying a tuxedo is virtually unheard of. Renting is probably the way to go to realize the ultimate savings on the groom’s attire.
Wedding Flowers
Cheap doesn't mean that your wedding flowers can't be beautiful. All flowers are lovely no matter what they cost.
Wedding Ceremony Decoration
Most wedding ceremonies are short and sweet, so why spend a majority...
Wedding Music
Music for your wedding ceremony could consist of live or recorded performances.
Wedding Photography
Pictures are priceless, and you want to be sure you have plenty of good pictures of your special day.
Wedding Favors
Some brides don’t like the idea of giving gifts to her guests, but we think it’s a nice gesture as a thank you...
Wedding Food
Wedding food can take a huge chunk out of your wedding budget.
Wedding Cake
Your wedding cake is the centerpiece of the reception. It is a scrumptious dessert as well as part of a tradition
Wedding Party
The question of whether or not to serve alcohol at your wedding is one that can cause dissension in the ranks of family.
