| She is a makeup artist, just started out a year ago. She has her diploma etc. She has spent thousands in advertising her services to clients in a bridal magazine, in the Yellow Pages, on local newspapers, on her website, on magnets carrying her ad on her car doors, on tons of business cards, which she has handed out. She made posters and dropped them off personally to twenty schools. She has circulated pamphlets. She knows she still has to go market herself to the advertising agencies, the modelling agancies the wedding consultants, the photographers, models etc, etc, which she intends to get to that asap. But my question is: After a whole year of being very proactive in her advertising and having spent so much money, how come she has only had one phone call for two school girls, ie. only two clients? Why does advertising not work? Her ads are beautiful and has a photo of her on her wedding day on it (she did her own makup for that), e-mail, website, tel numbers & her specialities. |

| Thousands for Ad,but only 2 students?I can't believe it!There must be something terriblly wrong about it.As a makeup artist, reflection from customers is utmost important. It's very "concrete" and "visible".So Ad may not make sense.Focus your target to the churches and wedding agency(is there an agency for that?),with this you can know who may need makeup. Then sponsor the agency or the churches, leave your ad on the cover of the wedding certificate ,or you can have some gifts to them.Is this helpful? |
