| I've read anything from $1K to $10K, which doesn't help. My father wants to know how much he can expect to spend on a photographer, and while I definitely don't want to sav eon photography since that's the only thing that will live on forever after the wedding, I also am not interested in costing my dad a ton of money. Thanks for your advice! |

| Well the photographer that I will be using at my wedding in October charges me 800 dollars and I get unlimited pictures and DVD and more things. She is very nice and very professional |

| In NYC basic packages that I was looking at started at $3,200. It included 1 hour of travel time, bridal portraits, albums, and full reception and ceremony coverage.In Bergen County, NJ they were starting at about $1,900. |

| In NYC, on average, expect to spend about $3,000 on photography. A great photographer that you might want to look at is Duet Photography--they have an office in the city and one on Long Island. They are fabulous and have great packages and include engagement pictures for free.E-mail me for more recommendations or help. |

| it depends how many hours you want them, and how you want to get the photos - dvd, website, etc. Look on craigslist first to get some ideas, and you can also find people offering services for less to get experience. Check their portfolios. In general, most small NY weddings seem to charge 3500-10,000. |
