Here's how much I'm paying, how much should I tip?*Photographer: $1600*DJ: $950*Limo Driver: $225 for a 15 minute ride (and his waiting time of course)*Florist: $700 (I wasn't sure about this one)And here's a sticky situation: The hairstylist that did my trial said she'd come to my house instead of making me go to the salon and told me she'd charge me no more than the salon price...so I figured what the heck. When I called her to book her for my wedding day, she quoted me $15 higher than I paid in the salon (probably cuz my hair is long and it took 2 hours and now she knows that) and then told me she charges a $50 travel charge, but since I'm only 10 MINUTES AWAY (!!!!!) she would only charge me $30. Should I still tip her? I mean, now she's getting all our money (me and 3 other people) under the table and charging me for her to drive 10 lousy minutes...opinions please!!!!

The only tip she would get from me after those prices would be when to plant her corn................

I have never heard of tipping the photographer, DJ or florist. The limo driver can get $20 and since the hairdresser is not at a salon and is getting a set fee I don't think she needs a tip either.

I wouldn't tip anyone on your list. You are paying them for their services. As for the hair dresser I think you could add 20 to her cost for going out of her way (not just the drive but she has to bring her things and is out of her comfort zone). The ones I tipped at my wedding (ones that did not have a set price for services); the preacher, organist, and vocalist.

i think that you should go to the salon. Sad that is a LOT of money for travel time. if you do end up having her drive, that 50 dollars should be apart of her tip. there is no way 10 minutes= 50 dollars.you are paying enough for the photographer, that is rate, do not time him. that is the florists job, she quoted you, do not tip them. i would tip the limo driver and MAYBE the DJ, but i am not a fan of tipping people who are just doing their jobs. you don't tip a doctor or you mailman.

Don't tip anyone, except maybe the clean up folks from the caterer. These people are already making out like bandits. As for the stylist, your peace of mind on that day is worth more than your hair. Just cancel her and get someone else that you're not mad at. In normal circumstances you two could probably work something out or be separated for a few months until you cool down or she cools down after you tell her off. With your wedding this close, there's not time for that, but you shouldn't pay someone you're furious with to be close to you on your wedding day. (We've all had to put up with relatives and new in-laws, we don't need anyone else to get on that last nerve!) Even if your hair isn't perfect, your spirits will be--and the marriage you're starting will last longer and be the subject of a lot more talk than the wedding or even the pictures.

I wouldn't tip any vendors except the hair stylists, makeup artists and the limo driver. All the other usually work in their tip into the price. I tipped the hair stylist and the make up artist 20% but 15% is okay. Most hair stylist do charge a travel fee. I'd still tip her.

Tipping is definitely optional ... but if you are pleased with the services provided, then a small tip is always nice. Florists, photographers and videographers generally don't get tipped. Other vendors, like the printer who did your invites, also do not get tipped. Most of what they are making off of your purchase is profit so a tip isn't necessary. The DJ, singers, musicians, hair and make-up should all get 5-15% of what they charged - again, if you're super pleased. If you're having a caterer, then the servers usually get $20 each or so. The limo driver will also be fine with about $20-$30.
