So after fights... time issues (Fiancee's in the army) and too much stress trying to plan a wedding by may 2008... My fiancee and I have decided to have a court house wedding with only our parents and siblings. Then when he comes back from deployment have a big wedding. So we thought of going down to the coast and doing it there. With about 20 people total. How do we tell other guest who wouldn't be invited? We do still plan on having a big ceremony when we can. Annd everyone would be there for that.

send an inexpensive wedding announcement (which is different from an invitation) that states when you are going to be married, and ask them to "Save The Date" for your big reception ---> but be sure to stick with that date and send invitations out ahead of time.Surely, if you explain that timing is making it too difficult to plan accordingly they would understand.
