I am a photography student and we are starting to work on our final. Our final is to take pictures of an OBJECT going to different places such as Wal*Mart, the movie theatre, or Grandma's house. We have to put these pictures into a book form, like a story with our pictures. We have to have TEN pictures total to hand in. I was thinking of doing a story on a little girl who gets pampered for the day. I was going to have the little girl be one of my cabbage patch dolls and I was going to have her go to the hair salon, nail salon, tanning, and other places. My concern right now is with the story line that I have come up with, what other places can I take the cabbage patch doll. What do you guys think? And I would really appreciate any other ideas, please!

That's not bad but if you don't like that look for things in your town that there are a lot of. Bridges, Bars, Mailboxes, etc. each will have there own environment and feel. pick one and tell the story of the family bars for example in you town showing how they are all different even though they are all the same.

i thinkit might be easier to change the story line.like more general. mabye something to do in winter or summer. or just like how a youngg girl spends her day, thats easier. like you can have a picture or randomt hings. or how a certain group lives like upperclass. or how a teenage girl lives. like you can hava picture of hair place nail place tanning salon mall(take individual pictures of stores to break it up more) spa make-over place then finally like a party or something and take a picture of a buncha people dancing at a night club. idk i think thatd be rad, sorry i didnt really answer the questroin though, hope i helped !

Well that is a great assignment. I have a fiend who took a Barbie doll around the world and took pics of her every where. He was trying to show the contrast between the struggle and poverty of the world to our American lifestyle. What kind of contrast could you use for the doll? well maybe you could show the in between event like on the way to the store , strapped in the car ,or on a bike, in a wagon something that ties your events together.

I would choose an object which will bring out different expressions from different people. For example, I would carry around a large American flag and ask different people to pose with it. I would go to a retirement community, a day care for young children, a beauty salon, a barber shop, a fire station, etc. and try to capture some unique expressions as different people held the flag and posed with it.It doesn't have to be the flag but I would make it something which will generate some feelings of emotion to give me some unique subject matter in the portraits.

I think you should go with boiledcrabs idea with the flag. I love it. That sounds like an interesting assignment.
