I want to overlap 2 pics with ps cs3 into 1, using some pics i took with a tripod of time lapse photography, i want to overlap day and night of the exact same picture, how would i specifically go about this?

open both pics, in one of them make a new layer, and paste the other pic on the new layer, after that click on the layer on top, and then right click > blending options. From there you can play with the blending modes and opacity to get the effect that you want.
