| Since photography is all about lighting and capturing the light, I think you can figure out what you need to do.Visit a couple of wedding/portrait studios and look at the samples they have on display. You will see what you need to learn .. AND next you attend a wedding, see what the photographer is doing, with their flash and when using natural light |

| Photography, the word literally means writing with light, does that give you a clue?You need to know all aspects of using your camera, you need to KNOW what the results will be before you press the shutter, you don't get a second chance with Wedding Photography. It takes years of using your camera(s) in all conditions to get this experience, if your asking such a basic question, I wouldn't think your there yet.It's really difficult to be a Wedding Photographer in these digital days as there's so many who people think are 'experts' out there.Chris |

| NO if you want to be a wedding photography go to school and study photography and then go intern with a pro. |

| Is it possible? Sure is! Will you be successful? NO, YOU WON'T!Anyone can start a business, but it doesn't mean they'll be successful!Subject, lighting, and composition are the three major aspects of beautiful portraits. Don't start a business until you know how to choose them correctly. I suggest you go to photography school! |

| yep , pretty important ,because there tons if photographers who are wedding photographers that know about light , and i don't know how anybody could have a photography career if they don't know how to use light . |

| Yes, because I have. I am a hand's on learner with no photography training/schooling. I have successfully shot 5 weddings in the first 6 months of starting my business (including two weddings where I was a guest and the MOB& bride hated their paid photographers photos and asked me for mine) Knowing and learning about lighting is important but if you are like me and have only a flash and no extra lighting equipment, you can still make it! You have to learn how to use your camera, your camera settings and the natural lighting available (and what is available around you)Good Luck to you, please feel free to email me with any questions. |
