My fiance and I are having a house built, and sometimes it feels like the stress is ruining our relationship. Are these "new house" jitters normal? It's just so hard, and there are so many decisions to be made... and between the house and the wedding plans, we are fighting almost every day. What can I do?We are already building the house...It's a done-deal

Stress will do this. You should take a day off from talking aobut your wedding and the new home. Take a day with your man, go for a drive along the coast, or mountainside and go out for a nice romantic lunch or dinner, or even picnic. Just remember why the 2 of you fell in love and why you've made these monumental comittments to each other. Take a day off from the stress to focus on your love and friendship.

Ride it out - this is normal. Building a house is a stressful and aggravating experience. It will be worth it in the end though. Just try and make sure the two of you end the day on a positive note, and find a way to make up for any fights.

It really does sound like you have bitten off more than a normal girl can chew at one time. Building a house is 2nd only to planning a wedding on the stress meter. Would you consider a small intimate wedding in order to save: $, time, stress & your relationship? That is my advice.

Some one told me a few years ago that with a new house comes, a divorce or a baby. It may pay to think that neither the house or the weeding are that important, so you may choose to put them both were they belong, third place, first comes the love you feel for each other, solution have a quite weeding, and stop making the house a priority, it is only four walls

Let me tell you what we did. We first moved into a nice apt (after wedding). There is enough stress with just the wedding We went on a nice honeymoon and then stayed in the apt for a couple of years and then moved into house. We had the money ( as both of us saved up before marriage) but we felt that money spend on nice honeymoon and few nice trips ( mexico, cuba, africa,india..ec.) is better then jumping into a house. What I suggest to you ( just a suggesting). Consider delaying the house stuff and focus on wedding and each other. House will always be there but you wedding will not.if house is done deal then you need to really work together and maybe have to dedicate one for the house and other for the wedding the make the best of it. Having both at same time is a lot of stress at once. I would also consider hiring outside help to off load ( ie=, hired help, maid ..etc.)

Where and How to Start?
There’s so much to do, it can be mind-numbing. Don’t worry. I planned and held my first wedding in two months and my second wedding in three months. If you have the luxury of a year or more, feel lucky!
Wedding Invitation
Ideally, invitations should be mailed out 6-8 weeks before the big day to give guests time to make arrangements to attend and RSVP back to you.
Wedding Attire
Where I come from, buying a tuxedo is virtually unheard of. Renting is probably the way to go to realize the ultimate savings on the groom’s attire.
Wedding Flowers
Cheap doesn't mean that your wedding flowers can't be beautiful. All flowers are lovely no matter what they cost.
Wedding Ceremony Decoration
Most wedding ceremonies are short and sweet, so why spend a majority...
Wedding Music
Music for your wedding ceremony could consist of live or recorded performances.
Wedding Photography
Pictures are priceless, and you want to be sure you have plenty of good pictures of your special day.
Wedding Favors
Some brides don’t like the idea of giving gifts to her guests, but we think it’s a nice gesture as a thank you...
Wedding Food
Wedding food can take a huge chunk out of your wedding budget.
Wedding Cake
Your wedding cake is the centerpiece of the reception. It is a scrumptious dessert as well as part of a tradition
Wedding Party
The question of whether or not to serve alcohol at your wedding is one that can cause dissension in the ranks of family.
