I'm doing mini chocolate bars with personalized wrappers. They are 1) economical 2)everyone likes chocolate and 3) it's right after Halloween so there is a huge selection!

Anything edible would be great. Trinkets tend to be useless and crappy. Try cookies, chocolates or other candies (maple syrup candy, hard candies, etc.). Maybe molded into a fall shape - I know you said you don't want leaves or pumpkins, but maybe a tree or acorn would work? Talk to local candy shops and bakeries, or make your own with a cookie cutter/chocolate mold from a craft store or eBay. You could offer each guest/couple a small bottle of maple syrup. Or a little container of coffee or tea bags. Biscotti might work. Chocolate-covered pretzels. Candy apples. Mini bottles of wine, home-brewed beer, or personalized sodas (try Jones Soda). Mints or gum. Giant lollipops. Taffy. Individual cupcakes. Homemade jam, jelly or preserves. Apple butter. Honey.

How about homemade apple jelly or chutney. You get small jars to put them in. Attach a tag that says "spread the Love".

Where are you getting married at? Maybe you could do something that relates to your wedding location? For example, we're getting married at a coffee shop, so our favors will be something coffee related.Like everyone else said, you can't really go wrong with candies or other edible treats! One wedding I went to, they had spoons & in each one were two hershey kisses with a note attached that read "A spoon full of kisses from the bride & groom." I thought that was kind of cute.

Use something that is related to your wedding theme, flower, heart, rings etc... this way you aren't focusing on the season.

hi, my wedding is in September 2009, and I'm going with an autumn theme wedding too but with brighter colors (orange as my main color theme). My bridesmaids dresses are coralI think I will brighten them up with bright orange, red and yellow bouquets... does anyone think that's too much?I'm going to decorate the venue with orange chair covers/ribbons, napkins, coldish coins and leaves and I think tea light candles. I hope that's enough!here is also some extra infohttp://nuptia.ca/wedding-inspirations/table-and-reception-design/create-your-perfect-reception-style-with-seasonal-ideas.html
