I'm getting married in 10 days and it shows a decent chance of rain...any ideas for how to handle the photography? I really wanted a few outdoor pictures at least...the rest can be at the church and reception site...Thanks!Side note: I do already have a professional photographer booked Smile

Gazebo, Canopy, and covered bridges are all beautiful in rainy weather and in winter months, You may have to go to other locations for the shots but they are well worth it. Also check with local Photography studios, a lot of them have scenery that you can use in their studio.Congats and Best Wishes.

I say if it is raining you will probably have to forget the outdoor pics. Or hope for a break at least to get a few in. Good luck!

Maybe you should change the date.Call all the guests and tell them that if it does rain, the new date will be ______.

Not going to rain on your wedding day. Don't fret. Think positive!Rent a fancy white umbrella from a bridal shop and you and your groom can snuggle under it. Makes for great outdoor pictures if it showers!

It rained on my wedding day and it was WONDERFUL!We bought 6 HUGE umbrellas (one for each groomsman to hold for a bridesmaid) and then also for us.When we walked out of the church, we were completely covered the whole way and have the best pictures of us in the center and our bridal party on the sides with all the guys holding up umbrellas. We even stopped for some pictures as our family and friends threw rice. Most of the pictures, we chose to do in black and white and they are our favorite ones.I've heard it is good luck for it to rain on your wedding day! Don't worry too much about it! It will be perfect.

If it is raining, find a place that is covered, like a porch nearby or something. Otherwise...if it were me...(it rained on my wedding day) Just run out pose real quick and have the photog take the pic and then run back....they will turn out great and will be a fun memory!

It rained on our wedding too - actually, it poured. We were fortunate that the reception hall was attached to the church so people didn't have to leave once there. Rain is actually a symbol of good luck on wedding days - contrary to popular belief. If you tie a knot and pour water on it, the knot is actually harder to pull apart. Anyway, it rained on our first date so we looked at it as meant to be Smile

A couple of shots of you & the groom underneath an umbrella could be kinda romantic! Or even the whole bridal party...maybe you could find umbrellas that match the color scheme, and give one to all of your attendants!

You can rent a small tent with open sides fairly cheaply.Something just large enough to cover the bridal party shouldn't be more than $250.Have it set up somewhere with a nice backdrop.Good insurance to make sure it doesn't rain.

If you get unlucky and don't have at least a few minutes without rain, look for an overhang at the church or something that can serve as a cover for you and the wedding party. We had a light sprinkle on our wedding day and the photographer put up a tarp high enough that it protected us from the rain and we were still able to get the pictures that we wanted. It looks like we had beautiful weather in every single picture!Even with the rain, just enjoy yourself! And remember the reason why ou are getting married! It's not for the outdoor pictures but because you are in LOVE!Congrats!

look for places with high cover and would allow light to show and yet offer shelter. atrium, patio or high tree line. However a little rain on your brow would be sweet.Congratulations and I wish you both a great life together.
