It just hit me that I'm spending over $2,000 on photography and pictures I'll be looking at for a long time. I want to look good and lose some weight, but I'm also SO stressed with planning. How much were you able to lose or did you gain before your wedding?

I stayed the same weight at that time so I was fortunate. I was probably 120 lbs then and now over 2 years later I weigh several pounds less then that. Just eat right and exercise.

It was probably about 10 pounds. Mostly because i was so busy I didn't have much time to eat....very unhealthy. Proably about 170 on wedding day? I didn't struggle to hard to crash diet like some of these brides. For one, I bought my dress early and wanted it to fit without tons of alterations. For another my husband proposed to me, fell in love with me, and wanted to marry me just how I was. I had no desire to drop all this weight just for pictures. I might not be a model in a magazine but my husband loves me even with a few extra pounds.

I was worried about the same thing. I was stressed and working alot just before the wedding. I wanted to loose some weight but it was hard. I only lost about 25lbs. I felt a little better but then the BIG day came. I looked into my husbands eyes and said "I DO". The weight thing never crossed my mind. Don't worry about it. You are you and he must love you just the way you are. Try to relax about it and everything will turn out just how it should. Good luck

I tried to lose about 20 pounds before the wedding...but I ended up gaining 5, and you're right, I'm so disappointed with my pictures b/c I looked like the Michelin woman. BUT now I've dropped 30 pounds in the last year, and I did it by eating a TON of fruits, veggies, chicken, and whole-grain bread and oatmeal (and even pasta), drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day, and working out at least 5 days a week (running, Tae-bo, hiking, etc...). Good luck and congrats!!

im in this same predicament and my wedding is in 8 months. i have started by just walking on a treadmill and doing sit ups on an excercise ball. I've started eating 5-7 small meals instead of the usual 3 and I cut soda from my diet completely.

I was 6wks pregnant and we decided to go to the courthouse right away because we wanted our child to be born in wedlock, but I didn't want to be a big fat pregnant bride in a white dress (or ivory!) I say eat you meals during the day, cut out all refined sugar from your diet. Make past 6pm water only. Make sure you eat breakfast and lunch as your big meals and keep dinner small and light. I am a banquet waitress, I work wedding receptions all the time, I see brides flipping out over the slightest details that wouldn't bother them so much if they weren't so freaked with stress!! With all the planning and things you have to think about now, try not to let eating be comforting. Your husband to be probably loves you just the way you are. Keep your goals obtainable, don't try to lose too much weight at once, 20lbs in a month and a half or 2 months is obtainable, so don't try to do any more than that. Good Luck, I hope your day will be all you have dreamed about and more!! : )

I stayed the same up through the wedding. Then I went on my honeymoon and we both gained a little weight (we treated ourselves to lots of great meals). We're in the process of losing it, but it's just a few pounds, not a lot.

I have just joined Weight Watchers. My wedding is in 6 months and following their plan they say you should be able to loose 2 pounds a week. I am hoping to loose around 30 to 40 - I have never been this big in my life and it was all in the last year and a half. I am doing it for me, not for my htb.

I lost several pounds the few weeks before the wedding, just because I was so busy. Unless you are significantly overweight, don't stress - it's not good for your hair, skin, etc. and will do more to detract from your bridal beauty. Also, you want to make sure your dress fits, so be careful after the final fitting. You will look your best, you will be glowing, have spent more time on hair and makeup than ever before, a beautiful dress that's perfectly fitted. JUST BREATHE IN AND OUT A FEW TMES DURING THE DAY TO KEEP YOUSELF CALM. That ismore important than the 10-15 pounds.

Get into a regular exercise routine. It'll help you relieve stress and look good.A friend of mine went on Atkins after she bought her wedding dress, about 9 months before the wedding. She lost so much weight that they had to take the dress in 11 inches! Even around the bust. Some of the beads on the front of her dress ended up being under her arms, and caused a horrible rash and scratching. She got pregnant a while later and gained all the weight back, and her wedding pics don't even look like her.If you want to look great, get toned and use a little bit of a nice fake tanner. Neutrogena micromist is the best brand.

I lost 15 pounds in 3 months and gained muscle. I thought since I was going to wear a strapless dress, I should work out with weights for my arms.My arms looked better than they had in years, so if you don“t work out your arms, start now!
