I had a guitarist sing and play a song at my first wedding...as long as you know they are good singers, then go for it. I like that the guitarist is different, not the same old thing!

Hi. I have never heard a guitar being played at a wedding, I have always heard an organ. However, I DO think that it would be nice. Is there a way for you to hear him prior to making your decision? It may be a good fit for you with your small wedding. A guitar is much more soothing than a loud organ. I would go for it!! Good luck with your decision!

I hired a classical guitarist for my wedding. I was married at the venue we had the reception at, so it obviously isn't as large as a church. The music was so beautiful and, elegant, . I'm very happy I went that route for the ceremony. I think it's an excellent idea, especially since you aren;t having a lot of people present for the ceremony. I think the organist would blow them away for such a small group. Go with the guitar....it's more intimate.

That sounds beautiful the guitar playing and the singing would add a nice touch to your wedding. One of my friends had a person play the guitar and a person sing at her wedding and it was beatuiful -e4g
