I'm haing Christmas Carollers for the dinner reception music at my winter wedding. My theme is "Winter Wonderland", colors are black, white, and baby pink. What should they wear?Suits/tux? Winter hats and scarves? All white?Help please!

I like the winter hats and scarves...if it's a formal dinner, I'd ask if the men could wear suits. I think it'd be cute if the women wore the winter muff things over their hands. Good luck!

They could just wear their regular clothes that they are wearing to the wedding - maybe all with matching bright red scarves, though. Hats will mess up their hair.

You are hiring them? Or you are having some friends and family do it? If you are hiring them you better remember that YOU have to buy any wardrobe you want them to wear unless it's negotiated into the contract. If it's friends/family keep the wardrobe inexpensive. "Sunday best" or something along those lines.

Usually Christmas Carolers are in Victorian costume dressed for outdoors regardless of the venue.I like the winter hats and scarves idea, and muffs for the women. They would look out of place with a tux though. If the wedding is formal, you could skip the outerwear and have them wear coordinating tuxes and gowns in your colors. But be prepared to pay for anything outside their usual wardrobe that you expect them to wear.

Like everyone else has pointed out, YOU will have to provide any costumes you want them to wear. If you want them in Victorian costume, those can be rented from costume supply companies, just look into that NOW. Depending on the costume and your location, you should expect to pay around $100 per costume. However, if they're professional singers, the women should have a simple, long black dress they wear for performing and the men should have tuxedos. Those would be just fine. My advise to you is, don't make it harder on yourself than it needs to be. Do you REALLY want to add fooling with getting and returning costumes to your (probably) already long list of things to do before your wedding?

Hi. Are you paying for everyone's outfits? That could be expensive! Why not simply supply white scarves or even red scarves to go with the Christmas idea. They do not necessarily have to be in YOUR colors do they? That would get expensive!
