How do you guys go about photographing guests that are obviously intoxicated?

Although they sometimes make hilarious pictures I deep down feel it is morally wrong to snap pictures of actions that could make people appear in a negative light. Everyone has embarassing drunk photos, and besides do you feel this is how the bride and groom want to rememebr there wedding?

Getting back to the original topic, I just get pictures during shoots and worry about things like that later. If I can't tell they're drunk when I look at the picture later there's no reason not to use it.

I like to err on the side of caution. I'd had to not have pictures of a certain guest just because I caught them after they hit the bar.

Unless they are doing something that would make you sick, do the image. I did a wedding where the bride shot six tequila golds from the time she left the church til the time she arrived for the reception. Needless to say, she was out for the count during the reception. I had a bartender tell me.. "You ought to get a picture of that".. (The bride was sitting on a chair with her legs prop'd up on a couple of other chairs and a ice bag on her forehead). I told him, "Do you really think she will forget her reception"? I didn't take the shot....

I will try to shoot at the best moment, when it's not obvious that they are drunk. I am sure that they don't want to remember their wedding day with them being drunk.
