1) There are complains of blue fringed photos, difficulty in low light focus, lense cap comes off easily on the Canon.2) Mixed reviews on the Kodak, from too aggresive noice reduction, to poor photo quality, to best photos !!!

For point and shoot cameras, they are both good. In my business (I am a working professional photographer) I use all Canon DSLR cameras, but I keep a Kodak point and shoot in the glove compartment of my van for emergency use. Both take excellent photos when handled properly.Don't put too much faith in reviews and complaints you read. Anyone who writes a review about a camera they don't know how to use properly will have problems, and anyone who uses whatever camera they have properly and carefully will get good pictures.

You'll notice as you shop around, Kodak is generally aimed for the everyday use. Canon is generally more expensive and is usually classified by retailers as "Serious Amateur".If you want something a little higher in quality, a little more professional, the canon is your ideal choice. However, if you are looking for something easy to use and more commonly used, Kodak.
