| I'm getting married in May and my mom's kind of planning everything since she's paying for it so she's already ordered a bit of stuff for the reception but I was wonderingdoes anyone have any ideas for a Faerie (fairy) tale theme wedding? by the way - the wedding will be outdoors I'd love to hear all ideas for Faerie Tale theme decorations and etc. for the ceremony and/or reception...and a + if it's DIY or kind of inexpensive...Thanks ahead to all who answer and give ideas also I may add some details to this later =)colors are red black and whitewe chose these as they are very classy and elegant and I also am a photograper and red black and white photos are some of my favorites to do |

| Use a lot of dark jeweltones and earthtones, like hanging fabrics in doorways, windows, etc. Use the colors throughout the wedding (unless you already have your colors). Use a lot of candles, white would probably work the best. Have your hair a very natural style (unless you usually wear it different or already know what one you want) like down with slight curls |

| I was married three years ago...I had a fairy tale wedding also. One thing the colors that we used were silver and periwinkle blue which were "cinderellaesque". I received my wedding favors from ebay. They were plastic horse drawn carriages in silver and white. Very inexpensive. I also have plastic slippers like cinderella filled with candy. The cake topper were a glass slipper, horse drawn pumpkin carriage and castle also from ebay. The invitations which I made on the computer were a prince and a princess and the front of the invitation said , "every once in a while love gives us a fairy tale" and on the inside it had about please joining the families for the union etc. At the reception we had a banner which stated and they lived happily ever after. It was a beautiful wedding all for under $3000. |

| It will be somewhat difficult to pull off a fairy-tale wedding with the colors you have chosen. Most items for that theme are "Cinderella." You could go for a "Regal" or "Royal" theme with the chosen colors. Since it will be an outdoor wedding consider using twinkling lights wrapped in tulle, lots of candles, or incorporating rented columns to give the outdoor space a "finished" look. |

| Ok ladies, she spelled it FAERIE not fairy, so I'm assuming she's going more little tiny girls that fly, not pumpkin-shaped ballgowns.... have several flower girls, with tea-length dresses, flower garlands in their hair, have them walk BARE-FOOT and flit around as they make their way down the aisle.... and for extra bonus have them gently toss the petals IN THE AIR instead of strategically placing them on the ground - makes for super cute moment and fab pics! |

| What a cute wedding idea! I instantly thought of small twinkly lights, you could put up some lace netting and weave lights through it so you have a beautiful twinkling tent for your guests to look at. You could get pictures of fairies and hang them in the trees or stick them in the ground so it looks like they are flying everywhere. make sure you have lots of flowers too so it looks like a garden! Flowers and glitter and you should be good! Congrats on the wedding!! |

| Fairy weddings are romantic! Try getting a carriage (can be made with fabric) for the money box. Make sure it has a slot. You can use a soft red & silver accent piece for the thank you gifts (if you are planning to give something to your guests), or even the accent jewels in your bouquet. Try using mini votives on the tables with refective mirror to give each table some light so folks can see what they are eating (believe me it is a big deal). Use mini lights to hang from the inside of the gazebo, the tent or whatever structure for your setting. Another great idea is to have your centerpieces (if needed) with glass and use flowers that are in season; not just your ordinary roses! So much to choose from.Just a tip: make sure to carry the colour scheme throughout the wedding - from invitations to the bridal party's attire. Have a great wedding! |

| Maybe drape white tulle with lights in it on your head table and food tables. (black and red might be a bit too dark to keep with a fairy theme- but it's up to you - the lights might look really nice with dark too)Use garlands of greens and flowers to decorate tables and archways. For flowers I would use wild flowers. Fairies make me think of wild nature more than garden nature. For centerpieces you can make "dusted" branches like these - http://save-on-crafts.com/icedbranches.htmland place a cute fairy on each vase... fill the vases with multi colored vase gems (dollar tree carries these)you can hang crystals or icicles from the branches tooyou can sprinkle glitter on the tables tooyou might be able to find some christmas ornaments that could work for your theme and purchase them the day after christmas 50% + off |
