| I have been into Nature Photography since 96, and now I want to start doing some Wedding Photography. I got a new camera (Minolta Maxxum9), and I need some advice on how to break out into the business. I dont have any clients as of yet, and I am not sure how to start advertising my talent |

| Will you be doing this online? Where will you work in? What cities? etc. |

My suggestion would be to make a very simple website and get some business cards. This will make you look professional and much more experianced then you are
Also talk to family and frineds to try and get jobs...People will always be getting married and for your first couple jobs dont be ashamed to accept low or no pay....After your first couple jobs word of mouth will promote you and business will boom! |

I'd say try to get a local wedding photographer to take you on as an assistant first.
You can't just start taking wedding photos with no experience or guidance. That's just asking for trouble.
Too many photographers think they can handle a wedding, but really they can't. They don't know what to shoot, where to stand, how to handle clients, etc. Just getting a new camera doesn't make you a wedding photographer. There's a lot more involved besides just being able to get a good exposure.
Pay your dues, by tagging along and working with an experienced wedding photographer first. Then after you have done several weddings with that photographers by lugging around his/her equipment, perhaps you can ask to be a second shooter for him/her. But don't just get into wedddings thinking you can do a good job if you've never done it before. You won't be doing yourself or your clients a service if you do that. |

| See if you can help out at a friend or family members wedding. A lot of people I know don't have a problem with guests taking pictures as long as they get paid the same rate they would anyway. |

| Just throw yourself out there and hope for the best. You've got to find the right gig to get started with and things will take off from there. |

| Hmm..if you are new in this field then its defficult to start up..but realy not impossible..so I think you have to start up first from your place..You can shoot out your family photos or anyone's near to you ..you can also deal with your frinds, relatives etc...best of luck for the future...keep going |
