I bought a pants outfit. It is a black top that is sleeveless (I am planning on wearing a shawl over it), it hides my tummy, and it has black pants, that are loose fitting on the leg, not tight. I thought I would wear a par of black strappy high heals with it. Sould I take it back for something else, or will it work? I just want to wear the right thing. It is a Catholic wedding.

Try adding some color like wearing a white shawl and red shoes to break up the black. White, red and black look great together.

Are they dress pants? If they are then I see no problem with the outfit. And remember, it does also depend on how the wedding is set up. If you don't know the details, your safe. |

All black might be a little much, a bit funeral-esque. The cut sounds good, but you could do better color wise.

It doesn't have to be all black, you could incorporate some colored accessories into it. It's a Catholic wedding but it doesn't have to look like a funeral. And as long as you have a shawl over the sleeveless top, I'm sure it'll be fine.
