I don't think photographers have to be a certain age to get a job. It all depends on how good you are with your camera. You can post some of your pictures on websites such as flickr.com (which is a yahoo company and your yahoo id will work there) and get some feedbacks from other flickr users. As for a small business. You can probably have someone set up an account for you on websites such as istockphoto.com and sell your photographs there. I am not a hundred percent sure if they pay cash or if they give you credit towards purchases on their site. If you want to do photography at home and earn money you may want to look into doing portraits for people in the neighbourhood, sudents at your school, family portraits, potential models, etc. .................. good luck to you.... hope i was at least of some kind of help to you. Smile

Technically, old enough to legally work. However, you probably do not have the experience or the knowledge yet to do professional work.I'd go to college or continue to take courses. Try and find a professional photographer looking for an apprentice or second shooter and gain some real world experience that way.

A few years ago I ran into the same problem. I was experienced, but I didn't have a degree. SO I opened my own business:http://www.cephotograph.comI started with my myspace page. I charged people a minimal fee to do a photo shoot for individuals, couples, families, pets, etc. Then it grew into more.If you can't find a job, don't get down, try going out and getting a couple side photo shoots just to build a nice portfolio, then start charging more.

yes but your photos better be damn good for people to pay you...and be sure you advise a potencial customer what they would get for what they are paying plus there are no excuses for being late or bad photos or missing important shots....can you deliver a product that is worthy of professionalism or you justwant an easy way to earn money...good pictures wont due they have to be great....Best job for you is as a Professional photographers assistant (slave) and you probably wont get paid...but you would learn tons for free...take game photos and cheerleader photos andparty photos sell dont give away if kids dont buy parents will this will give you some perspective if your photos are good or great....the good ones youll have alot of and greatones get bought...have easy access so print out photos for cash and carry onthe next event or the next day at school...Good Luck with it...

It is all up to the employer. but you need to shoot shoot shoot get your self a portfolio to show what you can do this will get you the jobs. there is more chance of you finding your own work at that age doing party's, weddings, pot rats even freelancing to the local paper. This will give you better experience than anything and get your name known. you need to start a portfolio and keep a separate scrap book or file of published work a collage course is a good thing as soo as you can Good luck
