| For my own experience, I perfer to use Aperture f/8 and Shutter speed at 1/60 to fill in flash for strong sunlght and strong shadow,what do you thing? |

| If you really want f/1.8 for the dof, you would probably have to use a ND filter to get back to a reasonable shutter speed.I would say there is some reason to use almost any setup you can imagine, no one "book answer". |

| I think you need to go to school and study photographyYour proposed camera setting will provide a seriously over exposed image.Under the sunny 16 rule for shooting in bright (strong) sun, is f/16 at 1/ISO of the film. Using an ISO of 100 you would be three stops over exposed.You obviously have not tried this camera setting or you would not be asking it here.BTW there is no "strong shadow" .. that is why we shoot our models in shade .. is is the best soft lighting there is. |

| as you dont state iso its difficult to know what your on about, if at 100iso its practical if in the shadow and the highlights are a stop under f16@125 rule.from the answers you give about some product you seem to promote and this question i concur with Mr Ace - goto photography school or get some classesa |

| If the ISO of the film was 1/2, it might work -- or if you had seven -4 ND filters over the lens -- otherwise, no. |

| There is this general rule for exposures called the sunny 16 rule. On a sunny day using 100iso film(or iso setting) set your aperture to F16 and select the closest shutter speed to the ISO. So if your camera has shutter speed setting of 1/60 1/125, 1/250 etc....select 1/125. So in response to your question if you are using F8 at 1/60 of a second on a bright sunny day, with 100iso film then you are certainly going to get an overexposed image, or should I simply say a high key or bright image. |
