During a scottish wedding ceremony is it legal for the bride and groom to simply repeat "I do" or do they have to say more? The reason why I asked is that my fiancee does not want to say more than I do as she is nervous about speaking too fast or unclearly. I wasnt sure if it was legel in Scotland to do soapologies for my spelling of legal

Of course it is. I am extremely curious, however, as to why you ask?

My nephew has recently got married in Scotland, and the same ceremony as in England took place, although I do believe that you can, as in any matrimonial ceremony, add your own touches, a 'commitment' to each other, once the 'main' words have been spoken. (if unsure ask the priest/vicar for advice)It's all down to nerves really, on how much you both can handle, on the day, in front of a congregation.I do hope you have a wonderful day, and a special life together.a sincere friend
