I have to do a project for my photography class, focusing on two photographers who photographed the same kind of subject matter and had the same sort of technique or style. One has to be from the past, and one from the present. I am interested in these photographers from the past:Irving PennHerman LeonardHenri Cartier-BressonEdward SteichenYousef KarshRobert DoisneauAlfred EisenstaedtCan anyone suggest a modern-day photographer (someone who is still doing work and is in their prime) who shares a style with one of the men listed above? It should be someone at least semi-famous, because I need to find out a lot of details about them for my report. Thank you! Also - I was trying to search for people who did ironic photography (either past or present). For example, I saw a photo of a cross that said "Jesus is coming soon" in the middle of a very depressing, dumpy place. Or a superhighway in the middle of farm country...etc. If anyone can suggest some ironic photographers, I would be very much obliged |
