Here is a good idea with the camera. Each table have a different task to do and some maybe double depending how big is your list. It is also a great oppurtunity to cover candids and other small details your photographer maybe to busy to take. For example on the hunt: take a pic of Aunt Jane Kissing uncle bob...Michael and maggy dancing the baby, etc.

The guests could take photos of you or parents laughing, someone dancing backwards or doing the moonwalk, the view outside, a bird outside (if in the daytime), an animal, the oldest person at the wedding, the youngest at the wedding, a give way sign, the number plate of the bridal car, an exotic earing, 10 items of a particular colour, 6 different flowers, a fly, a mosquito, the heel of the mc's shoe, Grandma's teeth, the groom frowning, sleeping, crying etc, The most colourful or interesting tie worn by a man. The imagination just keeps running on. Good luck.

oohhh very coool idea1. table picture2. picture of at least 4 people dancing (from your table) 3. Talk to someone from the other side of the family and take a picture4. Take a picture of the newlyweds kissing or dancing5. Take a picture of your table eating 6. someone doing something funny (picking their nose...etc)7. picture of your table toasting8. group picture with the newlyweds9. Picture of people laughing10. people engaging in good conversationthis is a great idea - you may be able to give each person at the table (assuming you will be having 8-10 ppl per table) a "job" and they have until the end of the party to complete the task You will be risking, however, that they actually "do a good job" - or that they take the pictures at all

You are considering the whole "cameras on the tables" thing aren't you? I worked at Walgreens and I can tell you without a doubt this is the BIGGEST waste of money. 1. Guests tend to walk off with the cameras2. People get drunk....they think things like pictures of their butt or genitals is funny3. Fingers over the lens, flash doesn't go off4. Children get them so you have a whole roll of the floor, the cieling, and their parentsI could go on and on. The point is I've seen more brides than I can count who leave in tears because this is the only photography they had at the wedding or simply beacuse after buying the cameras and processing them they are out a few hundred dollars for some seriously crappy photos. If you want to do this then have guests bring their own personal digital cameras and follow the scavenger hunt. Have a laptop at the reception where they can upload their photos for you to use or to share with each other.

Is the hunt going to take place at the site of the reception? If so, you can leave clues, under plates, under any floral arrangement container, under candlestick holders, on the tank top of the restrooms, in back of the faucets in the restrooms, under the bottles of any wine or champagne that will be served. Or under the beverage bottles. attached with a thin piece of thread to a stalk of one of the flowers used in any of the arrangements, stuck under the seat of one of the chairs using a little bit of chewing gum, but make the paper holding the clue large enough and sort of perforated so the clue can be removed without touching the gum. And give instructions to the finders of the cameras that define your preferences of subjects when the "photographers" compose the photograph. Quick snapshots can be very interesting, and entertaining, but please try to not cut the head in half, or try not to get a butt shot of anyone with a big butt, just faces with smiles, or natural expressions, collections of guests that form small groups, someone drinking from the flute. Your photography method is very novel, will probably provide wonderful photos, is quite affordable, and give the holders of the cameras a feeling of great importance.

My husband and I did this at our wedding. I also posted a similar question like this shortly before the wedding here and got several calls of "lame" and "don't do it". However we handed out 10 cameras and 9 of them came back with brilliant photos that we will be using in our album. I also hasten to add that our wedding was outside on a bright sunny day so that may have had something to do with our good result. Anyway, here's our list.:1: A person you have met for the first time today2:The Bride and Groom sharing a kiss3:The Bride and Groom showing off their new wedding rings4:A young guest enjoying a wedding cupcake (this was soo cute, our cupcakes were blue and brown and a 3 year old niece had blue icing all over her face)5:The groom post-ceremony looking relieved6:The Bride and her mother sharing a hug7: A Rose from the rose garden (where we got married)8:Someone giving a speech9: A wedding gift you would LOVE to open.10:The bride and her attendant enjoying a glass of champagne11: The Groom getting advice from one of his married brothers12: The Groom and his attendants in their best Blues Brothers pose (outdoor wedding, they wore sunglasses after the ceremony)13: The wedding cupcakes before they get eaten14: The Groom with at least 5 of his nieces or nephews( He's from a big Irish-Catholic family)Not everybody took photos on the list but it got a few laughs, which was our aim in the first place.

Where and How to Start?
There’s so much to do, it can be mind-numbing. Don’t worry. I planned and held my first wedding in two months and my second wedding in three months. If you have the luxury of a year or more, feel lucky!
Wedding Invitation
Ideally, invitations should be mailed out 6-8 weeks before the big day to give guests time to make arrangements to attend and RSVP back to you.
Wedding Attire
Where I come from, buying a tuxedo is virtually unheard of. Renting is probably the way to go to realize the ultimate savings on the groom’s attire.
Wedding Flowers
Cheap doesn't mean that your wedding flowers can't be beautiful. All flowers are lovely no matter what they cost.
Wedding Ceremony Decoration
Most wedding ceremonies are short and sweet, so why spend a majority...
Wedding Music
Music for your wedding ceremony could consist of live or recorded performances.
Wedding Photography
Pictures are priceless, and you want to be sure you have plenty of good pictures of your special day.
Wedding Favors
Some brides don’t like the idea of giving gifts to her guests, but we think it’s a nice gesture as a thank you...
Wedding Food
Wedding food can take a huge chunk out of your wedding budget.
Wedding Cake
Your wedding cake is the centerpiece of the reception. It is a scrumptious dessert as well as part of a tradition
Wedding Party
The question of whether or not to serve alcohol at your wedding is one that can cause dissension in the ranks of family.
