go to local bridal shops or at least send letters, find out when the bridal shows are in areas near you and place flyer's on cars, make list and place in grocery stores. go to bridal shops and drop business cards in the dressing rooms. go to craft fairs and show your wares! Good luck and congrats

honestly? set up a myspace account for your business. Search for engaged couples and send them friend requests. Its the easiest social networking site and be easy to get your name out there.

A well designed website is pretty much a MUST have to break through. Myspace is great as a networking agent but you need to have a webpage that is completely apart from that where potential customers can view your options, price things, request samples and make orders. You are also going to have to expand. You just can't only make wedding invitations....not if you want to make any money. If you've gone that route and have put ads in the paper, local boards with wedding webistes like www.theknot.com. Your other best advertising is going to be word of mouth. Right now is not peak wedding season so the pool of potential customers is a lilttle low. You are the new kid on the block so all you really have to make them pick you is by doing a price slash. One, or two weddings where you only charge the cost of supplies can really help get the ball rolling.

We look online, in magazines, books... everywhere. A good place to get your name out is at a bridal show where there are lots of people there. Another way is through word of mouth. So if you did a good job on my invitations I'm obviously going to tell all of my clientèle. So get in touch with a local wedding coordinator. If you cut us a break on the prices so that if we refer one of our couples there you give them say a 10% discount then we are likely to go back to you. And you would gain business.

If you know anyone who is getting married, offer to do their invites for a cheaper rate - it will help you build up your portfolio if you don't already have one.The other answers are great - especially about getting a MySpace and trade/bridal shows.Good luck! I'd like to get into the wedding calligraphy business one day!
