I attended a 6:30 P.M. wedding last week and took some pictures. There was a light source on a tripod by the official photographer. I noticed that some of the pictures I took was reuined because the lips of some of the ladies were black instead of red or pink when I reviewed it on my camera's monitor. In some shots the flowers were also black. What happened here? What did I do wrong? This is the first time that this happened to my shots. Please help so that I wont do the same thing again. In the meantime what can I do to those ruined shots? I'm using Jasc Painshop Pro 8. Thanks!

The lipstick absorbed all the light in the spectrum available, and didn't reflect any red. Likely, the light had very little red in its spectrum.

it could be the resolution in your camera or the type of view you set it 2 such as sunny, clear, indoor, outdoor, . thats if you had a digital camera. if u had a disposable or a digital it could be the area you were in. hope that helps

Well, it's your camera thinking the red of the lips is red-eye and using red-eye reduction it turns them to black. Quite common with Nikon cameras apparently. There is no way to correct this in Paintshop, apart from manually painting red back on... Make sure to turn red-eye reduction or the flash off if possible next time.

It's the red-eye reduction. Don't have it set to automatic, or you will end up with black wherever there's a patch of red. I had this happen to a picture of my daugher wearing a red gem-studded dog collar. The studs came out black.Change them to black and white photos and they will be fine. Otherwise, you'll be painting in a lot of red.

Most probably, you need to adjust the color of your camera. Try to read your camera's manual. I am sure, it's there. Or you can simply adjust the color by using the MicrosoftPaint. Hope these will help. Have a nice day and GOD BLESS.
