buy a bunch of roses and scatter the petals on the table rather than fancy decorations. buy urself a few church candles and press a few rose petals on them too.to be honest it doesnt overly matter what decorations you have as long as the food is sorted, what i did was have a brunch with finger foods and some spritzer wines. I had a winter wedding so there was sherry to heat up the guests when they arrived.its not fantastic ideas but you can have a look online at wedding planners, ring them and ask for advice over the fone on the pretense you are gona hire them and tell them your looking around and you would like to hear their best idea to help you choose

Okay, so you want to go cheap, eh? I suggest a few kegs of beer to get your guests simply blasted. Then they won't give a rat's a_ _ about what else you serve. I suggest a good old back yard barbeque. Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and perhaps some grilled chicken sandwhiches would be fantastic, and you can have a bowl of potato salad and some chips. Simply cheap and no one will know that you hardly spent a cent. Just make sure you rent some latrines for the back yard so that your guests are not urinating on the rose bushes.

I went to a wedding recently where instead of a gift list it was a 'wedding list'. The list was full of things like brides bouquet, car hire, balloons, copy of photos taken etc.Perhaps you could ask your guests to bring a dish/bottle each instead of getting gifts from them.
