(me!) will be wearing a white dress. The table linens will be ivory cloths. Not sure about napkins yet, either white or ivory & there will be burgandy table runner going down the length of the table. For our place setting cards, menu cards, & Thank you/donation mention program at the reception I am looking for suggestions on what color paper to use.I think I will use one of those invitation kits with a matching program. Use the program to say thank you & that in lieu of traditional favors we have given a donation to the following charities that have affected our familes. (Diabetes, Epilepsy and Mental Illness). Since the American Diabetes Foundation has bookmarks that it provides for wedding donations I thought about putting the bookmarks and the program in the invitation envelope. & using the invitation as the menu card (so it would be a 5x7 menu). & giving the response cards from the kit to my mom for her to use at my shower for well wishes.White or ivory?

you my dear (and your soon to be husband) are wonderful compassionate human beings; what a lovely thoughtful idea....In this world of Bridezillas and "it's my wedding gals" you shine above and are a breath of fresh air!I'd pick Ivory, but whichever you pick will be just perfect........

I think that donating money to a charity instead of favors is a great idea!Sine the table cloths are going to be ivory, you're going to want the place setting cards and stuff to be different. I would go with white.

I haven't the foggiest notion on colour. Most decorating stuff is lost on me. I can barely dress myself most days.I'm replying to congratulate you on your wonderful idea. The suggestion to people to make a charitable donation is a lovely idea. Many people have good intentions but never quite get around to doing anything. This could be the gentle nudge that will help some people take that step.I just know that you and your mate will have a wonderful marriage.

omg i am so proud of you! i have been preaching about donations instead of favors for a very long time now and its so nice to see someone else is thinking the same way! congrats on being so generous as to donate to worthy causes. if the foundation will give you enough bookmarks for each guest/couple then i think your idea of including them in the envelope is a wonderful idea. now back to your question: white, they will stand out nicely against the ivory of the linens and besides if you go ivory the odds of it being a good match to your linens are against you and if they weren't a perfect match one of them would end up looking dingy! so white, and if you can choose your ink color, burgundy! how pretty will that be!!i love the way you are using the stationery and i am still so tickled about your donation! wow! have a happy wedding sweetie! wishing you a lifetime filled with joy!
